DanO
The Time isn't Right

I found DanO through the internet searching under the heading Creative Commons License. This has therefore given me the freedom to download his free track and mix and edit a video as i please so long as i place a message within the video stating DanO's work and contribution for creating the song its self. Otherwise i have permission to do so whatever i wish with the song so long as it follows the rules, which state i must not use it for commercial purposes.

I've chosen to use the track "The Time isn't Right" by DanO. He is considered to be a rock/pop style artist. For the video i want to continue this theme through by committing myself to creating generic shots such as instruments and person focus. I want the video to be a short story that reflects the song through visual-audio connection. I also want to shot inside a dark room with a spotlight on one area showing a man standing with the camera moving around him.

Once the video is created i wish to have it placed on such institutions as MTV 2, where popular rock style music is seen today. Therefore giving me the teenage/young adult (15-25) audience i seek. As i believe that his style of music will settle well with popular culture today.

Good job. You'll need to find out what your 15-25 audience will be expecting and integrate those ideas into yours.

I was thinking make a Questionnaire with music related questions that explore generic conventions for a rock video but also what people want to see in their video's. Then finally make a graph presentation or along those lines to show my results. With a short round up written review at the end.
